[https://www.gatheringplace.org/arbor-day-lecture-registration]   ABOUT MARK BAYS Following gradation at OSU, Mark Bays worked for several years in traditional forestry in Colorado and California and works as a consultant in urban and community forestry, arboriculture, and tree care in Oklahoma and Texas. Mark has worked with Oklahoma Forestry Services for the past 32 years where he has been helping individuals and and city leaders across the state understand and appreciate the value, benefits, and services trees in communities provide. In 2022, he was the recipient of the Larry Kotchman Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the National Association of State Foresters. Since 1996, Mark and many others in the tree care industry have been involved with the Oklahoma City Memorial Foundation and the recovery efforts centering on improving the health of the Survivor Tree.
